The Torrence’s were recipients of the prestigious Jefferson Award on April 10, 2003. The Jefferson Awards were established in 1972 by Jacqueline Kennedy Onasis and Senator Robert Taft Jr. as a way to recognize individuals for their community and public service efforts.

Rick & LaVerne Torrence are the founders of Winds of Agape, Inc.; a family-oriented community agency servicing individuals & families in need with emergency aid & empowerment programs.
